PRELIMINARY WORK PROJECT #2- REFLECTION

As I have mentioned for the end results I used the Infrared option in Photoshop to edit the photos, however before that I also played around with different black and white options until I chose the right one for my project. Here are different edits of the same photo which I really liked how they looked, however haven't chosen to use as an editing option for the final results..

END RESULTS..

These are the end results of my project after the photos have been edited. I am very happy with how the results turned out and I feel like I planned everything well from the start in order to be satisfied with the end results. I managed to achieve all the ideas I had in mind when taking the photoshoot, these being: the series of photos of the couple walking towards and away from each other, recreation of the proposal, couple walking to a place.I feel like I managed to include all the steps that I had in mind, and I really like how I managed to work and evolve with a simple idea into something more complex which I am very proud of. When I look at the end results I get a feeling as the photos are communicating with me and trying to tell me a story which I love. I am also obsessed with the story behind the project, involving two women. I feel like there is no such thing as a wrong type of family, marriage or relationship as long as there is love, trust and affection between individuals.

REFLECTION..

Overall I am very happy with everything that I managed to do. I feel like even thought this project wasn't mandatory I had a lot of fun making it, and it was worth putting time and effort into it as I have learned new stuff and skills. I had a lot of fun working with different people, communicating, following a specific plan which helped me a lot and all together just practicing the skills that I am already aware of. As the reason for this project was to be a more complex project than the other one, I feel like I managed to achieve this, however there are also some things that I can definitely still improve on, these being: taking my time when doing a photoshoot as I have a feeling that I could have gotten a wider variety of photos to choose from if I allocated more time for the photoshoot, experiment more with editing styles and many other things. I am looking forward to creating more projects and works in the future throughtout the media course by using my current skills and also improving and learning new ones.
