For the third post for our research and planning tasks we had to make sure that before going any further with our project, we have to make sure that we can identify our target audience. To be able to identify our target audience we decided to use primary research by creating a questionnaire and distribute it on our social media and by sending it to friends and family which helped us gain a larger sample of answers from different people with different likes.
For creating the questionnaire we worked with google forms and created simple and easy to understand questions. By doing this we wanted to make sure that the questionnaire was suitable for all kinds of people, mainly because of the fact that the first and spoken language in our country( Romania) is not English, therefore we wanted to make sure that everyone who completes our questionnaire is able to understand the questions and answer honestly, which will help our group massively due to the fact that the data will be accurate. Moreover here are the questions we decided to include in our questionnaire:
1. How old are you?
10-13
14-18
18-30
30-60
60+
2. What is your gender?

Succeeder (need to get to the top, seeking for control and prestige)
Struggler (you live for today, you seek escape)
Aspirer (status and image count)
Reformer (“Don’t tell me what to do or what to think”, anti-materialistic, intellectual)
Mainstream (daily routine is fundamental, you need security )
7. Do you enjoy watching psychological thrillers? (a thriller which focuses on the psychology of its characters, or which psychologically manipulates its audience or readership)

No
I haven't watched any but it sounds interesting
8. What kind of film opening do you prefer? (first 2-5 minutes of a movie)
Establishing Shot opening (establishing the scene, and very beginning of the movie)
Direct address opening (a character is speaking to the audience; telling what has happened)
Animated opening (usually drawn; narrator is talking about the story)
Linear narrative opening (starts right at the beginning of the story; includes character establishing shots; works its way through)
Non-linear narrative opening (the audience is “thrown” into the scene; middle or end of movie, returns to the beginning eventually)
Montage opening (different movie sequences layered, jump cuts; the audience has got no information about the plot)
Classic opening (black background, with titles; audience doesn’t receive any information about the plot)
9. What is your favorite movie and why? (be specific)
Overall I feel like the questions we decided to include in our questionnaire are what we need to help us with choosing our genre and film opening, and hopefully we will receive a good amount of answers to guide us further with our team film opening. For distributing the questionnaire as I have mentioned earlier we are planning on putting the link in our bio on social media and also sending it to friends and family. We are also planning on sending it via email to colleagues and teachers in our school, however we have decided to wait and see how many responses we are able to collect and then we might think about sending the questionnaire via email if there aren't enough responses to help us further.
